A chatbot answers a question. An agent carries out a task: it fetches information from your tools, works through several steps, corrects itself when a step fails, and stops to ask for your approval before anything binding (sending, invoicing, deleting).
So the point isn't the conversation — it's the work that disappears from your day: re-keying, follow-ups, sorting, formatting, searching through documents.

An agent acting on your tools has to be fenced in: human approval required for anything irreversible, a log of what the agent did and why, access rights limited to the strict minimum, and a spending cap per agent so there are no nasty surprises.
The choice of model and hosting depends on how sensitive your data is: it is decided during scoping, with you, and written into the quote.

How is this different from a chatbot on my site?
A chatbot answers your visitors. An agent works for you: it reaches into your tools and carries out multi-step tasks. The two can coexist, but they are neither the same use nor the same budget.
Will my data be used to train the model?
That is settled during scoping, before any development: the provider, the configuration and the retention period are chosen with you and written into the quote.
How long until a first agent is running?
The prototype comes before the commitment: we target one task, run it on your data, and decide from there.
What happens when the agent gets it wrong?
Anything binding goes through your approval, and every step is logged: a mistake is visible, understandable and fixable. An agent is only left to run on its own once the task is reliable.
